OFFICIAL: The Best Black Pudding in Scotland comes from Dundee
Scotland's  Best Black Pudding of 2006 was voted Grossetts of Tayside.

In May 2006 the Regional heats of the Scottish Black Pudding Competition were held at five locations throughout Scotland.

The winner and runners up black pudding from each heat went forward to the Scottish Final held at the Scottish Meat Challenge on Wednesday 20th September 2006 at Lauder College, Dunfermline.

Judging was tackled by food specialists, meat industry enthusiasts, media representatives. At the North of Scotland heat judges came from from Moray Firth Radio, the Caledonian Curry Company, Inverness Courier and from the hosts Inverness Caley Thistle.

Heats were held in Castle Douglas, Selkirk, Perth, Bellshill and Inverness.
