2009 BRITISH PIE AWARDS

SFMTA members won
four of the ten classes available to them. The British Pie Awards
also judged the Best Melton Mowbray Pie and the Best Cornish Pastie.Â
Obviously these titles could not be won by someone outside those
geographical areas but the Scots had a resounding success.

2009 Best Savoury Pie in Britain: to be eaten hot – Champion is AJ
Learmonth, Jedburgh. This was a Chicken Pie with Haggis and
Peppercorn Sauce.



2009 Best Football Club Pie in Britain – Clachnacuddin pie made by McDougall and Hastie in Inverness.



2009 Best Apple Pie in Britain – RT Stuart Ltd, Butchers and
Bakers, BuckhavenÂ
