It can't be much fun being woken up at five in the morning to be told that your shop is on fire but that's just how Graham Collie's only lie in of the week came to an abrupt end on Sunday 27th June 2010.
Kemnay is just under five miles from the nearest fire station at Inverurie so Graham arrived at just the right time to avoid the fire service breaking down the front door. Unfortunately the damage had already been done and the interior of the shop that he had only taken over running with his wife, Annie, three months earlier was a write off. The fire had been started by a faulty timer.
Within a month they had set up in Portacabins behind the shop from which they kept their business going until the shop was ready to move into. Graham patiently waited until his the insurance company agreed to re-instate his shop.
The full installation of new serveover cabinets with inbuilt corner section, multideck display chillers and upright glass door freezer and with external condensers was
carried out by Capital Cooling.
