During this time they have worked together on many initiatives culminating in both just completing a three year period as QMS Board members. Both are Fellows of the Royal Agricultural Societies (FRAgS). Jim is also a Fellow of the Institute of Meat (FInstM) and Alistair is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Butchers.
To mark this milestone Alistair and Jim are taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis on 9th August 2011 to raise funds for two very worthwhile industry charities: RSABI, formerly the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution, and the Worshipful Company of Butchers Master's Charity which is Farms for City Children. HRH Princess Anne is this year's Master.

Ben Nevis (translation: the mountain with its head in the clouds!) is the UK's highest mountain at 1344 m (4409 ft) and is situated in Lochaber, near Fort William. Whilst ice axes should be unnecessary, taking the combined ages into account, oxygen masks may be required!
