Guidance for food business operators and their employees – Updated 4th August

Please note that this guidance has been updated since the last version was published on 27 July. In addition to providing more detailed information for Food Business Operators on how to identify a potential COVID-19 outbreak in their workforce and actions to take, further information has now been included to help FBOs in supporting employees who are at higher risk of infection and were previously shielding. This version was published on 4 August, if you have downloaded an earlier version replace with the attached.

They have added advice for employers to support those who are shielding.

The Scottish Craft Butchers office in Perth is now closed following government guidelines.
We will be available to our members to answer any queries via email or by mobile phone and will be available out of office hours for any members wanting to contact us.

Face visors not enough on their own

The First Minister Ms Sturgeon says the latest advice is that face visors are not, on their own, enough to offer protection.

From tomorrow, if a visor is worn it must be accompanied by another type of face covering.
We have no further advice to business on this at present, once we have more detail we will issue.
