Exclusions from the right to redundancy payments

(a) Employees with less than two years continuous service after the age of eighteen.

(b) Employees who have been laid off or on short time working for less than a continuous four week period or a broken six week period within 13 weeks.

(c) An employee unreasonably refuses the offer of further suitable employment.

(d) An employee is dismissed for conduct justifying summary dismissal.

(e) An employee goes on strike and is then dismissed for redundancy. (If, however, an employee was served with a notice of redundancy and then took part in a strike, there is no exclusion).
