As in previous years, and once you have had time to rest and reflect, we would appreciate your thoughts on how this year's festive trade went.
Were there any unusual trends in shopping habits?
Did you feel you had to close your order books early due to increased volume?
Is there any new/different items that consumers are asking for?
Are any traditional items such as geese making a comeback?
Did opening on the Sunday work out as planned? Did you feel justified not opening on Sunday if that is what you chose to do?
We will collate the information and share your responses as an overall industry experience with our own membership and trade magazines and stakeholders.

Dalziel – NPD Masterclass – 20th and 21st February 2024
Dalziel's would like to invite members to one of their NPD Masterclasses, at their Centre of Excellence near Newcastle.
The event will take place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st February.
A draft programme for the two-day visit is attached
Butchers can pay for their hotel room (special B&B rate organised for £90), Dalziel will cover the cost for the meal that evening.

Scottish Speciality Food Show
Corporate members ESC Packaging are exhibiting at the Scottish Speciality Food Show
In the Glasgow SECC between 21st January and 23rd January on
stand P66. Special offers include a fast fashion recycled bag for life,
branded foodgrade paper sheets and mail order solutions. Pop along between
9.30am and 5pm on the 21st and 22nd or 9.30am to 4pm on the 23rd
