New card types

Please be aware that we are posting out letters to all our merchants advising them of the following changes about new card types.

What are the changes?

MasterCard UK Debit – This is a relativly new type of card, at present we are charging a percentange of the total transaction cost, same as we would charge for a credit card.

Going forward this card will be charged at a pence rate like all other debit cards.

MasterCard Premium Credit Card & Visa Premium Credit Cards -These are new card types and will be charged at the same rate as a Business, Commercial and Purchasing cards.

The reason for this is simply becasue these Premium cards are more expensive to process, compared to a standard credit card.

What is a Premium Credit Card?

Premium credit cards usually offer superior benefits than that of a standard credit card. Some benefits include Loyalty benefits, Travel benefits and Insurance benefits.

These cards usually carry a yearly fee; one I was looking at had a yearly fee of £250.00!

Any questions just give me a call.
