Probationary Period

The probationary period can be arbitrary. SFMTA chose to put three months in the Handbook some years ago and most members will be using this Handbook.

In practice at the end of three months you can hold a Probationary review meeting, the outcome will be Pass, Fail or extend review for another three months in which case the three months probationary period becomes six months.
